Hello everyone. My name is Zureyka but I also go by Zury. I am a recent alumni from the University of Miami with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, minoring in Art History and with a second concentration in Photography.
This blog is intended to display my portfolio from all the works that I have done in the past as well as current works. Please do not take any of my work since I have worked very hard on creating each project.
If my work and style interests you, especially enough to hire me for a project, then please feel free to contact me at zureyka.carsi@gmail.com
Thank you.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 10,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

While working at Jet Graphics, a request was made by a client to create a Save The Dates for a Plastic Surgery Symposium/Lecture being held next year. I created this as a 5″x7″ flyer to be mailed out to all its patrons and others for promotional purposes. Since this was being held in Miami, Florida I wanted to not only continue the theme of nature but also have the tropical arrangement with the use of vibrant colors that will remind the viewer of South Florida.

While working at Jet Graphics, one of their clients is St. Thomas University. They requested a design for their 2011-2012 Tuition and Fees tri-fold brochure. This was one of the concepts that I designed and sent to the client to be considered.
Since their campus is located in South Florida, I wanted to emphasize the tropical environment, such as the beautiful beach milieu, that is only minutes away from students who were considering to attend this school.

While working at Jet Graphics as a Junior Graphic Designer, one of their biggest clients is the University of Miami. I designed this 18″ x 36″ banner in celebration of National Student Employment Week which was printed and used in the Coral Gables campus.

I spent (literally) countless hours working on this site for a client and it is finally up and running. It is a mixture of Flash as well as basic HTML coding. This website is meant to be a portfolio for the artist to display his work as well as his current projects.

These are two photographs of my Graphic Design portfolio that I designed and made (including printing) myself. The first photograph is the front cover design upon opening my portfolio book (and yes I did illustrate all of it, including my own personal logo) as well as my resume and business card. Second photograph was taken while a classmate was looking through it.

Here is a book cover design based on the book “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” by Hunter S. Thompson. In this design, I wanted to stay away from the concept of a psychedelic representation which has been the primary concept for past book covers of this novel. Instead, I wanted to emphasize the road trip in itself of the characters traveling towards Las Vegas before their main adventures begin.

Baby Shower Invitation I did for a client. My client gave me three guidelines for this invitation: the theme of the party would be purple, it was going to be a girl, and she wanted butterflies. While designing this invitation I wanted to emphasize the concept of butterflies and the tranquility of a garden, which is why I incorporated vines and floral arrangements along the border.

This invitation was a for a Birthday Party. My client wanted to base the invitation around the party decorations which included large teacups with red, yellow and orange polka dots. In addition to this, she also wanted to incorporate her Dachshund in the design. Since this was for birthday party was meant for children, I wanted to make the invitation bold, colorful and yet playful.

Above are 18″ x 24″ charcoal drawings I did this past month using the aid of photographs. The purpose of this post is to demonstrate how not only am I a digital Graphic Designer and Illustrator, but I also love to draw whenever possible.
